Hadith & Usool al-Hadith refer to the sayings, actions, and approvals of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), along with the principles used to study and verify them. Hadith serves as a primary source of Islamic guidance after the Qur’an, helping explain and implement its teachings in daily life. Usool al-Hadith (the science of Hadith methodology) focuses on examining the authenticity of narrations by analyzing the chain of transmitters (Isnad) and the text (Matn). It classifies Hadith into categories such as Sahih (authentic), Hasan (good), and Da‘eef (weak), ensuring that only reliable teachings are followed.
